I Passed!!!

Well I did it.. was brickin' it all mornin! I was on the second test so I had to wait over 2 hours for my test, which didnt help nerves!

But I did it, kept it all together!

3 Minors! 1 of which was on the 'show me, tell me' part.. so only 2 actually on road marks. Steering (too wide on exit of a roundabout) and Moving away (didnt check that blind spot!)

Well im well chuffed now! To the garage tomorrow, Start the garage based training!

Well Done! I've got my TWM medical at Bordesley today so hopefully I'll be joining the ranks very soon! You blog has given me an excellent insight into what lies down the road. Thanks!

Which garage are you based at btw?

Cheers,

Degs.

It's ten years since I passed my test and I can still remember it. The next bit of the training gets a bit confusing, tickets and fare stages and paying in and holiday rotas and earlys and lates and days off and drivers hours and unions and accident report forms and nice letters from the depot manager asking you why you were nasty to passengers but once you have been out on the road about 5 years it all slips into place. It's a great job; enjoy.

Welcome to the bus driving world! I have been a bus driver for about 4 and a half years now. I just started a driving blog to share some of my crazy everyday experiences.
